William Faulkner, born in 1897 in the Mississippi Hills the son of a long-established southern family, invented an entire region as the setting for his novels. More than a dozen of his works are set in Yoknapatawpha Country, a fictitious area of Mississippi. In novels such as "The Sound and the Fury" and " Light in August" Faulkner explored behind the bourgeois facade of the Southern states and drew the reader into a wed of crumbling values and family dramas.
The contrasting design of the Writers Edition William Faulkner recalls the tense era of the Southern states during Faulkner's lifetime. The Ivory coloured Montblanc Star add the perfect final touch to this exceptional writing instrument
